My cousin completed their program about 7 months ago and her whole life is different now. She finally got the mental health help she needed to get her over that hump. We stayed in touch while she was there and she loved the program. She is her true self now. She does self care, has stopped self medicating, started a small business which is taking off. I am just elated at what this program did for her. And my Aunt and Uncle said she had atleast one staff member every single day they could get a hold which has never been the case for the last 2 places she went. Thank you Beaches!
I am a therapist that worked for Beaches Recovery 2015-2016. I only left Beaches because of needing to relocate for family reasons, otherwise I would still be working there. Beaches treatment philosophy is an holistic approach. Each person's treatment is individualized, and core reasons to substance use are identified and addressed to effectuate change. If you are reading this review and considering attending a treatment program to help you with your substance use disorder (along with co-occurring disorders), Beaches will challenge you to discover that part of you that can function in life without the use of substances. All you need to do is to be open to suggestion and ready to put in the effort to experience the life changing results recovery can give you. --Rob (in recovery for 11 years)
Beaches Recovery is a great place to start your recovery journey. Everyone that I have come into contact with has been genuinely kind and caring and the facility is beautiful. I would recommend Beaches to anyone looking fo treatment in the FL area.
I’ve been to two rehabs and Beaches recovery is by far the best. The facility provides an array of recovery options/methods rather than just support groups such as A.A. or NA. They encourage mindfulness and meditation which was something I was not introduced to before, as well as a refuge recovery which became one of my favorites. I was glad to learn different coping methods that fit my comfort level. Also, the support during treatment and after is undeniably superb. At my first rehab, I didn’t receive any follow up contact except maybe a quarterly and yearly letter. At Beaches, if I was ever struggling post treatment, I was able to call/speak to my old counselor and follow up coordinator. I can say they truly changed my life and taught me all of the tools I need to stay sober!
This place and staff SAVED MY LIFE.. I’m forever grateful to them all !! They truly helped me through the worst time in my life.. The methods in which they teach you to llive again sober & therapy one gets here is priceless. If you want to save a loved one who wants to save themselves look no further. To the staff of Beaches love and miss everyone of you ❤️
Beaches Recovery helped save my life. I was at beaches back in 2015 when they first opened and it was one of the best experiences of my life. The people there was amazing and they opened my eyes to the disease aspect of addiction. I met some great people while I was there and would recommend this place to anybody that wants help
I was a client at Beaches Recovery a little less than a year ago. They have truly changed my life. Not only did they get the medications for my dual diagnosis right for the first time ever, I also learned how to live in the moment, be compassionate towards myself as well as others, meditate, and respond to situations rather than reacting. I was flown out from California to Florida to attend the program and upon successful completion they covered my airfare home too. I felt like there was genuine concern in regards to my recovery. I was treated with respect and even pampered. I would recommend this facility to anyone that is serious about achieving long-term sobriety. I made a lot of wonderful friends among the staff and residents alike.
They are the most caring staff. The care is amazing. I truly opened up and found the root cause of a lot of problems that I didn't realize I had the facility is great the housing facility is amazing you're right on the beach you have yogurt and a lot of other activities. I miss being there but I know I had to go if it was up to me I could stay there forever this is an amazing place they really give you a chance to live your life over again in a good and positive way. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone who needs help with their addiction this is the place to be I can honestly say that this place truly help me.
I am a hard headed alcoholic drug addict who was near death. Coming to Beaches and following their program was one of the wisest things I have done in my life. Addiction is very misunderstood and hard to deal with. Beaches Recovery was, and is, capable of stopping the deadly cycle and setting someone up for success. The housing is nicer than anywhere Ive ever lived. More importantly, the staff are what really makes the place shine. They genuinely care and want to help people with substance abuse of any kind recover. If it worked for me, saved my life, then it can work for anyone.
Beaches probably saved my life. Groups were small and therapy was focused specifically to my needs (such as dual diagnosis, lgbt, mindfulness or trauma etc...). Accommodations were amazing. Close to the ocean, clean, and home like. They focused on life skills and taught me a whole new way to live. The staff were open to suggestions and helped me create a program that worked for my life. Aftercare has been helpful. The staff truly care and want to make sure you have everything you need to be a success. I was incredibly shy and in a lot of pain and the staff made sure my needs were taken care of and they stopped to talk to me to make sure I was ok. They also helped me step out of my comfort zone which opened my eyes to new opportunities and options to staying sober.
I could literally write a book on how amazing beaches recovery is! It has changed my life. I came in hopeless, broken, & ready to just die. My therapist there was Ryan Terry, & he showed me a new way of living! The staff at beaches genuinely cares about their clients! The housing is awesome! They always make sure we have everything we need as well. Yes, there will be pros & cons anywhere you go.. but at beaches the pros definitely out weight the cons. And when there are problems they fix them! I would definitely recommend Beaches to anybody looking to find a new way of living & to get sober! I love beaches & every staff member who works there! AWESOME treatment center hands down. ❤️❤️❤️
It helped me get a head start to run my business and be with my family sober. Now my family life is so much better and different. My place was clean and comfortable. Great techs at Eleventh Avenue. Including Chad. Thanks. Dustin. BTW. DONT LISTEN TO SOME REVIEW BY CONOR S. IT WAS HIS FIFTH RODEO HE BRAGGED ABOUT IT BEING HIS FIFTH TIME. NEGATIVE REVIEWS LIKE CONORS ARE PEOPLE WHO ABUSE AND DONT WORK THE PROGRAM. CONOR WOULD NEVER SHUT UP
My stay here has overall been a pleasant and productive experience. There have been some hiccups along the way but, in the end, everything has been worked out. The staff here has been very helpful in helping me in my recovery and preparing me for my continued recovery. The facility offers many different recovery methods which the residents will have a chance to experience. There is no cure for addiction, the addict needs to work on their recovery every day. The living accommodations vary, there is usually no choice as to where you stay. The building I stay at is ok. The apartments can accommodate up to 4 residents. It can get a little hectic sometimes but if you have mutual respect for each other, discuss any concerns with your housemates, you'll do just fine.
Beaches was a great program. There are some amazing people who work there. Jacksonville is a great city to get sober in and this program has great therapists and fun activities. I still remember how much fun we had at ropes course!
Beaches is a beautiful and an amazing place to be, this was my first rehab and today i am a more confident, strong, independent woman because of the foundation Beaches Recovery help my lay. The staff and the people have such amazing hearts. During my time here I was served custody papers and because of the wonderful help from the staff and the case manager Sharon Ray I was able to not have to focus on anything other then my recovery because they helped me with all the necessary responses and everything i needed for court, got the date pushed and many other things they have done for me. The medical staff went far and beyond to try to help me with everything that had happened medically wise. The drivers are safe, loving, and funny people. I had never felt so safe and so excepted during my stay here. The most caring, loving, nonjudgmental people I've ever had the privilege of knowing. The people here well some are recovering addicts just like us!!!!!! ITS PROGRESS NOT PERFECTION!!!!!! XOXO, BECCA
A wonderful environment with caring staff. If you have had enough of drugs and alcohol controlling your life and are ready to start living again this is the place. Therapy sessions as well as a host of activities allow you to regain your self respect and is conducive to recovery. I was picked up at the airport and driven to the facility. Once a week a trip to the grocery store allows you to cook your own meals instead of having to eat the dreadful " institutional food" that some facilities provide. You get to make friends with people that share a common desire that you have. I am still in touch with several former patients and staff members. The proximity to the beach allows relaxation as well as therapy. Many staff members were once clients of Beaches Recovery so that indicates how effective and liked the program is. I am sober for over 4 months and am once again ENJOYING life. Thank you Beaches Recovery !!!!
A wonderful environment with caring staff. If you have had enough of drugs and alcohol controlling your life and are ready to start living again this is the place. Therapy sessions as well as a host of activities allow you to regain your self respect and is conducive to recovery. My flight was paid for and was driven to the facility. Insurance picked up the cost for my recovery stay. At the completion of the program I was driven to the airport and my flight home was paid for as well. Once a week a trip to the grocery store using a stipend provided allows you to cook your own meals instead of the dreadful " institutional food" that some facilities provide. This program is bar none the best treatment facility/program out there for drug and alcohol abuse. It is located in a beautiful beach setting. The living arrangements are in immaculate new condos. I came into the program at my lifetime low. I had a number of traumatic life events, and my drinking had rapidly accelerated. I was in a very dangerous space. The therapists on staff there are the best of the best. As a patient, you are assigned to a therapist hand picked for you after your intake interview. They even have a therapist who specializes in loss and trauma. Among other things, I was assigned a weekly one on one therapy session alongside a small 5 day a week morning therapy group. There is a very good balance of specialized therapy treatment time and fun activities designed specifically to experience sober living fun. There are even a yoga, art and equine therapies patients can elect to be included in. Some of the adjunct fun activities include Top Golf, zip lining, canoeing, the list goes on. As intensive as this program is, it is also fun. I feel so passionate about the efficacy of Beaches, I cannot stop spreading the word. There is help out there, Beaches saved my life.
I somewhat reluctantly attended Beaches Recovery after a second trip to detox. I felt I owed it to myself and family to further my recovery and agreed to only a 30 day stay at Beaches. I didn't come from the streets, or a court order, I came from a wonderful home with a loving family and a serious opiate habit, that caused my life to completely hit rock bottom. It took me less than a day to realize that this was going to be the best moments of my life. Moments spent with loving, caring, understanding fellow members and staff. From the drivers to the therapist, to the medical staff to the house managers, to the management staff, I was always treated with the utmost respect and understanding. I had plenty of time to work on my issues daily, while feeding off others and learning from their experiences too. Cannot tell you how others in the program helped me heal, while therapist and staff helped me find the causes of my addiction, and how to use the tools provided to heal as a person. I ended up staying 65 days at Beaches Recovery, and wished I had more time. Beaches doesn't just talk the talk, they actually care and provide you with every tool you need to heal as a person, and how to be proud of the progress you make along the way. I still stay in touch with staff, as I consider them part of my family now. I am treated with as much respect now as I did when I was in the program. There are too many people to thank in such a short review, but I want to thank all of the staff at Beaches Recovery for caring for me through the toughest time of my life yet the best experience of my life. If you are serious about Recovery, there is no substitute for Beaches Recovery.
I heard about Beaches Recovery from a friend who went there 3 years prior and is still clean. 8 months ago I had given up hope in myself and with my life. After doing much research I asked my family to send me to a beaches. I did a week in detox then attended Beaches for the rest of my time. I have been clean for 8 months now and life has never been better. Between morning therapy groups, afternoon education groups and NA/AA meetings nightly I got my freedom back. I am so grateful for Beaches recovery and all the wonderful staff there. I owe them my life. I highly recommend Beaches and hope to return one day to thank the beautiful people that work there. Love you all so much
I came to Beaches in need of help for my alcohol addiction. I had exhausted every effort on my own to get a grip on the control that alcohol had on my life. Immediately I felt at home and ease with the program. The staff was amazing in helping me get settled in. I was very impressed with the living arrangements and the amount of supervised freedoms that we had, while getting treatment at the same time. Beaches offered an educated, yet personable, staff. For me, the difference came in Beaches being a dual treatment center. I was able to not only get help for my depression and anxiety that was triggering my alcohol abuse, but also understanding in how to deal these issues. I also left with a full knowledge of ways to recognize and deal with this once I returned home. I honestly didn't know how I was going to be able to get to some point of stability in my life again. I thought that it would be impossible, or at best, short term upon returning home. I have stayed in contact not only with the friends that have become more like family to me, but also some of the staff. Their constant effort to stay a part of my recovery during and after my treatment has been on point. I have recommended this facility to numerous friends and have shared my story on social media. I feel like I need to use this experience to further benefit others. Beaches gave me back my life!
Incredible facility with amazing staff. Beaches recovery gave me every tool I needed to turn my life around. Many different options for recovery such as, refuge recovery, smart recovery, NA, and AA. Drivers are all very caring and mostly in recovery. Therapists are fantastic. Houses are extremely nice and most of the techs at the houses are in recovery which is a huge help. One of the main things I loved about beaches was that it helped me transition into the real world with their mentor program. You can find a job, find the things you love to do, and find the meetings you love you go to all while in treatment. This transition was detrimental to my recovery and not many treatment facilities do that, so that's why I recommend beaches to anyone struggling with addiction. This program saved my life and I am forever grateful.
WHAT WOW AN AMAZING PLACE. Beaches seriously is THE reason that I am alive today. From my amazing house mother, Rhonda, who was BEYOND patient with my and she was so understanding, to my case managers Sean and Lucious to even the director Mr Bill and Teresa. O and who can forget Tamika the secretary?! I came into Beaches a hot mess and left as a young woman with dignity and respect for herself. Granted, there were moments that I thought I would never get through and of course your typical rehab drama, I stuck to what I came there to accomplish. I have been clean since 6/4/16 and it's truly by God's grace that I am still alive. Beaches helped me to reconnect with my family and my daughter on a level I thought would never happen again! THANK YOU BEACHES AND RHONDA!!
My stay at beaches recovery was amazing. I highly recommend it to anyone struggling with addiction. I came in off the streets sick and hurting and they helped introduce me to the 12 steps and meditation. Everyone that works there cares about you and want what's best for you. They'll take the time out of their day to do whatever they can to help you overcome addiction. The houses are amazing all of them are within walking distance to Jacksonville beach. The iop program is one of the things that helped me in early recover they are some of the best therapist I've ever had. Ryan taught me how to meditate in which I still do today and Rachel was amazing. They would also take us to the gym to work out on a daily basis followed by a meeting at night. my house manager mike was a very kind man and I still talk to today. Once every few weeks they would take us to equine therapy which was awesome and very therapeutic. Weekends were fun they would take us to a meeting in the morning and a field trip later on in the day in which it would be anything from rock climbing to indoor go kart racing to basketball games and many more. The people that work there are all good hearted people in which I still see and talk to on a regular basis and one of them is my sponsor I have a little over a year sober now and the things I've learned at beaches recovery have been the foundation to my recovery. I gave beaches a 5 star rating because it is the beast treatment center in the area and one of the top ones in the country id give it 10 stars if I could.
Beaches Recovery for me was God Sent, When there was no where i else i could go Beaches Recovery took me in. They took me in when I was homeless and looked at how they could help me as a person get better, not how they much they could get out of my insurance before they dump me back where they found me. I had a very positive experience at Beaches recovery, i enjoyed my IOP groups, and my therapist Ryan very much. They helped me lay the foundation for sobriety and I have been successful in my recovery since i have left the program. With groups every morning, weekly activities that prove both educational, therapeutic and quite often fun coupled with with weekly therapist sessions I got more help than i could have expected when i was introduces to Beaches Recovery. I don't know any other treatment center that care enough about their clients to take them to Hot Yoga, the gym, farms and to a dope ropes course where you can look at alternative ways to take up your time besides sticking a needle in your arm. Overall i would recommend Beaches Recovery to family, friends or anyone trying to get sober, It worked for me and it can work for you. So work it you're worth it
I had a great experience while I was a client at Beaches. I learned valuable insight from my therapist and the daily process groups. It was a safe place for me to find a network of people who wanted to get clean like myself. They gave me an opportunity to create a network outside of the office by taking me to AA/NA/Refuge Recovery meetings in the area every night. There is a great recovery community in Jacksonville. They had activities such as equine therapy, ropes courses, yoga, boating, surfing, and paddleboarding. Jax Beach is like paradise to me. I now call it home. I have been to a lot of rehabs (unfortunately) and there are ALWAYS clients that do not want to be there and are there for reasons other than personally wanting to get clean. They will look for any excuse to point the finger at the administration so they do not have to look inward. I personally know the people that wrote the negative reviews, and I honestly pray that they can find happiness in their lives, wherever that may be. It is also okay to write an anonymous review or a made up name, because this is an anonymous program. I have nothing to hide so you can contact me personally if you need help. And yes, they do hire people who are in recovery. I feel this is vital because somebody that has been through the same struggles can gain a newcomers trust like no one else can. I stuck with the winners and I am about to pick up my one year medallion next week, and that is a miracle. Freedom is an amazing thing. I feel that if anyone has any questions about Beaches Recoveries rules, policies and procedures, they should contact Beaches Recovery.
Beaches recovery is a great place to learn about how to live life on life's terms! I was a client there for 4 months. I finished out the program, plus more. Beaches Recovery is a program built on genuine care for clients. It is individualized so everything is not cookie cutter. That is one thing I did appreciate so much. This is a company that has saved my life. They work hard each day to make the next day better. They put together so much effort to try to satisfy ALL of the clients, however, of course that isn't possible. So there are a few sour apples. However, my experience at Beaches, I came into this program unwilling, resentful, and stubborn, like many others, however, I made it a point that I would not run away from this decision I made to come here. I made a decision that I needed to change a lot more than just my drinking, I needed to change how I live life all together. So I stayed, a few days in, I got so frustrated and I walked outside to smoke. Not even 5 minutes later, the clinical director was outside sitting next to me asking what she could do for me. That was the first time I'd been asked that in years. She didn't have to come outside, she never even spoken to me. I told her that I am going through changes, I hate changes, and this is apart of life that I will have to face and go through. Changes were not my friend. However, I knew at that time, I was finally at a place where people cared... About me! That is only one of the hundred stories I can tell you that proves that this place genuinely cares. I was blessed beyond my measures to be able to not only attend such a recovery home, but to be apart of. In my 4 months at Beaches, I learned to cope with things I couldn't have before, handle pressure under stressful situations, keep everything clean, have a daily routine, budget my money, peel back layers of my daggum onion of a life, and actually organize my thoughts to which I can think clearly and get things accomplished. I was stressing about moving out after, automatically, one of the therapist, Margaret was bringing up 100 topics for classes to prepare uus for what we will be handling in the future when we left the bubble. Now to me, that's really care. I'm not used to just saying I'm scared, and having at least 10people there to help me through what I'm going through at that time. I've never been able to get that anywhere else and there is no way I could ever repay them all that they gave me. When my parents came and seen me, they said ist was as I I went to the military and came back, due to how much changes I had made. My philosophy is that if u get a hundred people in one room to give a speech, not everyone will like it. But those who come in that room with the willingness to receive what they will hear, they will get something out of it. And for those people that speech saved their life, it was all worth it. Ive seen many people finish this program out to move on to reality with all the tools they need to stay clean and sober and live a full filling life. Beaches job is to provide us with the skills and tools neccary to live life, WE have the choice to receive this information or put it to the side. The choice of our actions lye in our hands. I just want to say thank you so much for the opportunity given. Thank you so much to all of the staff, and the house managers , and the leaders in the community who was all there whenever I needed. Y'all truly changed my life for the better and I will always be appreciative of that
